Who does not know the Swedish pop group ABBA that illuminated the world of music during the 70s and early 80s? They were active from 1970 until 1983, ie until thirty-three years ago! Since then, their popularity has never ceased and from the 90s, several «ABBA» groups emerged. ABBA MANIA born in 1999 in the West End, the theater district in London. This show has been running around the world, recently in the United States where they gave fourteen concerts, all sold out.
At each concert, if you observe the public, you will see that there are people of all ages, from ten to eighty years and all are dancing. This is the strength of ABBA’s music, it crosses generations and continues to live through these «tribute» groups; also thanks to the famous musical Mamma Mia! and the film of the same name, released in 2008; if you saw it once, you probably saw it several times! We dare claim that among the 20 sung songs, you can hum most of the melodies and most true fans sing them outright. The oldest song sung in the show Ring Ring, dates from 1973. It is with that song that they just missed to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest, which they succeed in the following year, and won the contest with what became a universal hit Waterloo.
